Agua frescas are oh-so-important as the sun shines brighter and the days get longer, and you need to keep yourself hydrated. Maybe you’ve been reaching for that fruity cocktail or superfood juice, since it seems more exciting than your plain old water. Between late summer nights, beach days, and increased periods of time spent outdoors, drinking water is key.
To keep you hydrated and satisfy your taste buds, we’ve come up with an easy 4 step formula to help you make agua fresca at home.

1. Pick Your Ingredients
Pick your favorite fruits or veggies and thinly slice them. We love using citrus fruits like oranges and lemons, cucumber, berries, and even watermelon!

2. Add Herbs for Freshness
Adding herbs like mint or basil adds a great refreshing finish to the agua fresca. Mint goes great with ingredients like lemon and cucumber. Try adding basil with berries or melon varieties.
3. Add Filtered Water
Add filtered water to your ingredients for the agua fresca. Using filtered water ensures for that crisp sip you are looking for! Pile your ingredients in a clear pitcher, then add the filtered water and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight for the flavors to infuse into the water.

4. How to Serve
Using a clear pitcher or bottle (for an on-the-go drink) allows you to see the beautiful colors and ingredients in your agua fresca. Add in some ice to make your agua fresca extra chilled. Make sure to garnish each glass with the ingredients in your agua fresca. Enjoy this refreshing drink!
